澎湃新闻：什么叫平衡点？

　　刘侨：举个例子，孩子看到了一只蜘蛛，他会问我们“这是什么” ”为什么它有这么多腿“ “为什么它呆在一个网上” “为什么网上还有另一个不动的小虫子” 等等。我们不会回答他所有的问题，而是试图以一种引导，提问的方式迫使他自己思考，了解事物发生的先后次序和内在的逻辑联系。

　　我们的真正回答会止于告诉他“它叫蜘蛛，会吐黏黏的丝”，可以说这就是个平衡点吧。现在网络这么发达，我们也会引导他在网上查找相关的图片和卡通，带他去博物馆时也会有意识地找到相关的标本和实物帮他回忆和场景再现。

　　澎湃新闻：你觉得你现在的教育是偏中式多一点还是西式多一点？保留了传统中式教育的哪些部分？

　　刘侨：我觉得我们现在的教育更偏重西式一些。我们保留了中式教育中重视培养，重视基础和习惯养成的部分。力求改进的主要是创新性，发散性思维的部分。
